Main. Burglars also broke into Albertson's at 18 N. Ft. Lane. An inventory will have to be taken before it can determine what was stolen. ------Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Call of 658 S 2200 W will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary ------ A 67 year old Layton man shot 5 times in the chest died this morning at an Ogden hospital. Nelson M. Boling of 1106 Angel Street was rushed to the hospital after an altercation with his son in law William J. Ashley of 1080 W. Gordon. Charges are pending for Mr. Ashley ------ Councilwoman Oma Wilcox announced today she will seek a 3rd term on the Layton City Council. ------ Marriage License: Richard L. Wilhelmsen 23, and Dorothy Biesecker 18. ------2 Layton High Students, Laine DeJong and Hugh Butler are among the top 20 in Utah named Semi finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test------ "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is the theme for the Layton High School Halloween Dance sponsored by the Junior Class. Decorations of Icabod, Katrina and the Headless Horseman will be set to haunt the students who attend the dance. The Journeymen will provide music. School dress will be the appropriate attire. Admission is 75 cents per person. The Layton Lancer Football team whipped the Viewmont Vikings 28-0 on the home field. The Layton record is now 3-1.
